Phillip Leteka

Phillip Leteka is based in Rochester, New York. He was born and raised in the countryside in Maseru, Lesotho. Due to non-existent cinema in Lesotho, he grew up listening to radio dramas and watching a lot of South African television. He obtained his BA (Hons) in Journalism at Limkokwing University. In 2014, he moved to the United States to pursue an MFA in live action film production at the Rochester Institute of Technology. At RIT and in New York City, he immersed himself in the process, working on several short films. He is interested in telling simple stories about people being portrayed as ordinary human beings in a society that is much bigger they are.
