Betsy Sligh was born in Memphis, Tn but moved to Georgia at the age of 2. Since Betsy was a toddler, she has been watching her big brother, Duncan, star in musicals and plays in school and local theatre. Betsy performed in local theater with Duncan before he went off to study theatre at SCAD in Savanna, Ga on a theatre scholarship. He inspired his young sister to begin acting at the age of 6, and she soon booked the lead role in a horror film for the Atlanta 48 Hour Film Project, and acting became her love and passion from then on. Betsy will soon begin filming her fourth feature film, The Desecrated Ones. She will lead this horror film alongside horror icons Jamie Bernadette and Camille Keaton. Betsy recently completed filming the feature film, Homestead, in which she plays Irene, the protagonist who finds herself suddenly responsible for the survival of her family when a gang of outlaws invades their home. Irene is a hot-tempered, hair-triggered young girl who trusts few and shoots first. Betsy leads this film with Jamie Bernadette, Brian Krause, and Greg Kriek. Betsy appeared in Walt Disney TV's long-anticipated Life-Size 2 with Tyra Banks, Francia Raisa, and Gavin Stenhouse. Betsy's character, Emma, is an ode to Lindsay Lohan's iconic character in Life-Size. Betsy has played the lead role in multiple horror films including the award-winning horror film The Maiden, directed by Michael Chaves (The Curse of La Llorona and the Conjuring 3) and award-winning cinematographer, Tristan Nyby (Billie Eilish -Bury a Friend). This frightening film was filmed at the iconic Beckett Mansion in Los Angeles. Betsy has also appeared in several award-winning films written, directed, and produced by LeWayne & DeWayne Bontrager of Bontrager Twin Productions. When Betsy is not filming, she loves to read fantasy novels, go fishing, or enjoy some skeet shooting off of her family's 70-foot, vintage boat.
