Renata Sette

Renata Sette is a director, screenwriter and researcher. From the beginning of her career she went through different roles in the production process until she became a director. She started as a producer, was an editor and later became assistant director and screenwriter. She has been directing documentaries, short-films, branded content and entertainment, fashion films for the last 10 years. Her documentaries are in VideoCamp. In 2016 she won Best International Director with the short Anthropos at PortoFashionFilm, in Portugal. FIVE is her first international documentary, produced by Square Zero Films of NY. Five directors around the world (Brazil, USA, Lebanon, India, Croatia) directed 5 short films about women entrepreneurs that resulted in a feature film. Renata directed the film from Brazil. Her researches, through disciplines of the Graduate Program in Audiovisual Media and Processes at ECA/USP, the use of technologies in raising awareness about social and political issues in an attempt to understand possibilities of motivating a public look at the issues.
