Alon Juwal

Alon Juwal is an Israeli director, screenwriter and producer. He was born on February 19, 1990 in Tel Aviv, Israel and was raised in the small suburban neighborhood of Savyon. Following his parents' divorce, Alon moved with his mother to northern Tel Aviv and quickly got accustomed to life in the city. His interest in cinema began at a very young age and while attending high school he decided to major in cinema & communications. Alon spent more time in the local cinema than in the actual classroom, which later forced him to change majors due to bad grades. In 2013 Alon moved to the US in order to pursue a professional career in film. He graduated from the New York Film Academy in 2016 where he earned a bachelor's degree in filmmaking and was also a member of the honor society and industry lab. Alon's films are often gentle in tone, revolve around the theme of family and pay strong homages to two of his favorite filmmakers, Mel Gibson & M. Night Shyamalan.
