Biplab J. Doley

Having worked for over several years in the field, Biplab Doley is now an established producer and director owning his own media companies viz. Strawberry Magic Productions and Siyang Motion Pictures and Film Society. Although mostly into documentary film making, he has also worked on several advertisement films, corporate films, music videos and the like. He has over 30 documentaries to his credit which were also telecast on several national and international channels including National Geographic Channel (US), Discovery Channel (US), K2 (France), NDTV Goodtimes, MTV, STAR WORLD, Doordarshan and so on. Some of the documentaries have also won several coveted awards including the VATAVARAN AWARD (considered to be the Oscar for environmental films in India). He has also single handedly produced and directed a feature film, 'Turdaksok Mimag,' in one of the regional languages of Assam, and created a revolution of sort for guerrilla film-making in the region. The film is also considered to be the first film in the local dialect to have incorporated animation and special effects. He is adept at handling any kind of film and video equipment and is proficient in operating any types of cameras in various formats ranging from DVs, HD, RED, 16mm and 35 mm film cameras.
