Petrus du Plessis was born in South Africa and has lived in the UK since 2001. He has lived in Liverpool, Manchester, Nottingham, London and Glasgow. He qualified as a physiotherapist in 2008 from the University of Salford. In 2009 he joined Saracens Rugby Club as a professional rugby player. He was part of the squad that won 3x English Premierships and 2x European Cups titles. He departed Saracens in 2017. After a season at London Irish in 2017/2018 he signed for the Pro 14 side Glasgow Warriors in 2018 and that is his main occupation to date. During his time as a professional rugby player he travelled the world playing in most countries in Europe, North America, Africa, Asia and Australasia. In his spare time he enjoys acting, filming, writing as well as editing. His main hobbies are skateboarding, surfing, playing guitar and staying fit and healthy.
