Neha Shastry is an award winning independent documentary filmmaker. She has produced and directed films across 5 continents for clients like CNN, Amazon Studios, National Geographic, Netflix and Vice News. Her work synthesizes intimate and immersive storytelling to shine a light on manifestations of power, and what happens when power is abused. She's worked on films that address some of today's most pressing topics, from the history and legacy of voter suppression in the U.S, to discrimination in India's mental health system, to living conditions for blue collar workers in Silicon Valley. Credits include ALL IN: THE FIGHT FOR DEMOCRACY (2020), a political feature documentary chronicling the history and legacy of voter suppression in the United States, featuring Stacey Abrams, ROGUE TRIP (2020), a travel show exploring life and culture in post conflict countries with veteran journalist Bob Woodruff, and an upcoming global Pandemic documentary film for Netflix. She has also directed a slate of campaign ads for progressive candidates with ONE VOTE AT A TIME. Neha is originally from Bombay, India and grew up across Southeast Asia. She spent a few years in the UK before landing in Brooklyn, where she resides.
