Prashanth Naidu Gunasekaran was born on September 6, 1986 in Klang, Selangor, Malaysia, to a mental health pharmacist Gunasekaran Kanniah and high school teacher and academic Jothi Bai Ramanathan. Prashanth is known for the films he has directed Bing Bang Blussey (2017), My Rock, Last Star (2020), Irumanam (2017), Bing Bang Blussey (2017), and upcoming film Stranded Pearl (2020) which he co-directed. Prashanth began performing in small productions as a young boy. Soon enough, he landed a role in an Internationally Acclaimed Stage Production, The Truth Needs a Hero which was performed in India by Dr Suresh Govind (2002). Soon afterwards, he moved to New Zealand at the age of 16 and picked up drama in high school and furthering his studies in acting and directing at the University of Otago. During this time, he performed numerous plays, Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing won him the best supporting actor award at the Sheila Win Shakespeare Festival. Though he is very fond of being in front of the camera, he has found his true calling behind the lenses of a creative world. Presently, co-founded P2D Productions in New Zealand and works with MNC Films Studios, Prashanth is attached to several productions in the new future.
