Dritan Mesareja

Dritan Mesareja, born in Tirana, March 7, 1983, is a Albanian film director, writer and producer. Dritan Mesareja graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts University in Tirana, Albania with two Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees, one with Concentration in Painting 2002-2006 and one in Film and Cinema Directing 2009-2011 - the latter awarded valedictorian. Dritan, also graduated in Art Instruction School in Minneapolis Minnesota with emphasis for Cartooning, which he conducted with correspondence 2003-2007. Mesareja has been writing for a long time and it is one of his strongest attributes to express his fantasies. After his graduation he collaborated with famous Albanian directors and well know professors of the Academy of Fine Arts. Dritan Mesareja has a special passion for cinematography and he collaborates with many friends and colleagues in their movies as cinematographer in short movie, feature film, documentary, commercials and music videos. Dritan Mesareja has played drums with many Albanian pop-rock music bands from 1998 when it was his first concert and later with well known progressive-rock band Qelbanix. They recorded their first and only album of this band "Infinit Relativ" with 21 songs the work of which started around the year 2004 and finished in mid 2008, and traveled all over Albania, Balkan and Europe with their concerts. Mesareja directed three music videos for "Qelbanix" which one of them was the winner of the music video in "Top Fest", Top Channel in 2007 with the song "The only one among the people" Dritan Mesareja has won many prices for best picture, best edit with his short movies, documentary and years later in 2012 he was the winner of the festival in the Albanian Nights Music Video: Best Picture, Best Visual Effects, first prize with song " Unë dhe Gogoli". A song that is dedicated to autistic children. His love for cinema started in 2002 when he was in Painting Academy and he was working with his first small camera, which came from Usa with love from his aunt Dezdemona Mesareja for him to shoot some videos, as school projects requirements. After that, he made camera his new best friend.
