Costakis Constantinou was born at the village of Klirou, Nicosia, in 1957. He spends his childhood in Klirou, but also in the village of his father Andreas who came from Myrtou, an occupied village in the province of Kyrenia. At the various events of the municipal school of Klirou, he stood out for his talent in singing but also in theatre. His mother, Theotou, died in 1970 at the age of 43 and so Costakis became orphaned by his mother at the age of 12. He then studied at Nicosia High School of Economics from 1972 to 1975. As soon as he was fired from the army, he got a job at the Papadimitris Troupe in Nicosia as an actor. He gradually stands out with his talent and begins to become known as a mime as Dimitris Papadimitris with his pieces in the various inspections, makes him stand out ... In September 1979, with the intervention of the actor Stelios Kafkaridis and the Cyprus Actors' Association, he received a scholarship to study theatre at the drama school ... a review of dramatic art by Roula Pateraki in Thessaloniki. During the third year at the school, the director Dimitris Kollatos hires him in his troupe for some performances with the play Ayios Prevezis which in 1981 would make a tour all over Greece .. Costakis has been collaborating with the troupe of Dimitris Kollatos for two years and in theatrical works "Efoplistes tou Kollatou", "I Ellada tou Andrea", "o megistanas tou tipou", as well as in the movie "Saint Prevezis" who swept the ticket records in cinemas. After Dimitris Kollatos, he collaborated as an actor with the National Theater in the tragedy of "Euripides Ajax", where he took part in the dance. After the national theatre collaborates with the Minotis troupe in the tragedy "Perses" with performances and in the ancient theatre of Epidaurus. Upon his return to Cyprus in 1984, he married Erato, with whom they had three sons, Theodotos and the twins Rolandos and Stefanos. A continuous course in his career begins in Cyprus since 1985 with his collaborations both in the theater in an inspection troupe, and in shows in Rik on radio and television. He became famous to the general public, with a successful duo on the show "Efxaristo Savvatovrado" at Rik. They were the famous old women. Together with Andreas Argyridis, they played Popi and Angela. A duo that satirizes everything for 12 years. He then continues to protagonists in "choroesperides", i.e dance parties, with satire. Politically and socially. He writes screenplays that have become television hits on private channels. The series "Ta Psarka" and "To Soin" are marked in history. He participates as an actor in theatrical performances at THOK, and in successful serials such as in "Vourate Gitoni", with the role of "Omorfos", in the series of "Ventetta", "Ekino to kalokairi", "Petalouda", "Alla logia thkie papa" etc. As a radio producer in the Super Sports FM, he writes the greatest success for 13 consecutive years, in the show of "Costakis kai pasis Kiprou", 2005-2019. In the discography he did two excellent works in 1986 with "Tellena of Costakis" and in 1996 with "Koui-Koui". His slogans became famous both in Cyprus and in Greece. The phrase "empate mes ta armarka" is still heard in football circles up until today.
