A Los Angeles native, James did his first commercial at the age of two. He left Los Angeles after high school to study and travel. He earned a BS in Philosophy from East Tennessee State University and an MFA in Acting from the University of Louisville. During his time in Kentucky, James founded and ran a sketch and improv troupe called The Indicators that performed over 300 shows across the country and produced several award-winning short films. He moved to New York City a year after completing graduate school where he continued to pursue his love of comedy and theatre. While in New York, he began narrating audiobooks and continues to do that regularly from a home studio. James has moved back to Los Angeles to pursue his career in the booth and on the screen.
