Born in Dayton, Tennessee, a small mountain town in southeast Tennessee, David grew up loving aviation. Upon graduation from Rhea County High School in 1979, David enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and became a flying crew chief on C-5-A Galaxy aircraft and accumulated over 1,200 flying hours on the Free World's largest aircraft. David then became a C-141-B Flight Engineer and accumulated 8,200 hours in this aircraft and retired with 21 years of accident free service, which included Desert Shield, Desert Storm and operation Just Cause just to name a few. Upon retirement, David became active in the film industry becoming featured background in numerous movies and television productions around the Charleston, South Carolina area, as well as Wilmington, North Carolina, and Atlanta and Savannah, Georgia.
