Mauricio R. Sámano was born in Colima, Mexico. He has done a lot of stage work with Teatro Vision of San Jose, CA., The Western Stage of Salinas, CA., as well as the world renowned El Teatro Campesino founded by the father of Chicano Theater, Luis Valdez, creator of Zoot Suit and La Bamba. In 2005 he appeared in Asphalt Wars, a for TV film, directed by Henry Crum. In 2006 he appeared in Tears directed by Ousa Khun of Bermuda Triangle Entertainment. Mauricio is thrilled to have been a part of what is his first feature film with Zarco Films under the title of SIN VISA in which Mauricio plays the role of El Coyote. Sin Visa is an independent film that will have its premiere on April 4, 2015 at the Roxie Theater in San Francisco, CA. Mauricio is very grateful to count with the support of his family and closest friends. Mauricio is a firm believer of using theater as a means to educate people on the many issues we face as a society.
