Tamra Teig

Tamra Teig is a multiple award-winning screenwriter living in Los Angeles, with a journalism degree and 25 years' experience as a freelance writer and marketing consultant. Originally a farmer's daughter from Iowa, she's a global citizen, having moved all over the U.S. while raising three children and traveling abroad extensively while living as an expat in Paris for three years. Tamra draws from her unique life experiences to write both feature and TV scripts inspired by actual events. She features strong female and diverse characters--ordinary people who achieve extraordinary things. Her scripts have won Slamdance, Creative World Awards, a Stowe Story Lab Fellowship, Page Silver and finalist or semifinalist placements in 12 other top competitions, including Screencraft, Scriptapalooza, Austin and Nicholl Fellowship. She has several indie projects and scripts written on assignment in development.
