Tara is an American actress of mixed European descent. She is known for Cellblock Sisterhood (2015), _Love the Way You Lie (2014)_, and _Coyote Requiem (2014)_. She was born as Tara Gerdon on January 18, 1988 to parents Tami Drappo and Jeff Gerdon in Glendale, Arizona. She was adopted and raised by her grandparents, Rich and B.J. Drappo. At the age of six, she started dance lessons at a local dance studio in styles such as tap, jazz, ballet, character, lyrical, and hip-hop. She danced competitively and won many awards up through her high school years. In junior high and high school, she also participated in various beauty pageants, and was on the cheerleading squad, pomline, and dance company. At this time, she also started acting classes and got bit by the acting bug. After high school, she was awarded a dance scholarship to a local community college and started training in aerial circus acrobatics. She completed her Associate of Arts Degree at Mesa Community College in 2012. She then went on to complete her Bachelor of Science in Family and Human Development from Arizona State University in 2014. She will now be graduating from Grand Canyon University with a Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology in 2016. When not working, she enjoys spending quality time with her only son, Johnathan. Her first debut was in the film Coyote Requiem (2014), and had a breakthrough with a lead role in the upcoming Investigation Discovery drama "Cellblock Sisterhood" (2015).
