Phillipe Witana

Phillipe was born in Auckland, New Zealand. The son of Laurence Witana (Ngapuhi) and Jan Silver. He is of Maori and German/Jewish descent. His secondary education took place at Selwyn College, Auckland. Phillipe lives in Sydney, Australia, and divides his time working there and in Shanghai and Los Angeles. Phillipe studied drama at 'The Hub Studio' and NIDA in Sydney, and later moved to Shanghai where he began his film career and opened the screen acting school ScreenWorks. He also progressed as a professional dancer for many years in Australia and around the world and was a top 4 finalist on Australia's 'So You Think You Can Dance'.
