Mark Smoot

Mark Smoot received his MFA from the University of Texas at Austin, where he was a Fellow at The Michener Center for Writers. His short "+/-", made in collaboration with Andrew Irvine, premiered at the 2015 SXSW Film Festival. Their first feature "The Love Inside" was accepted into The Austin Film Society's Artist Intensive, premiered at the 2015 Dallas International Film Festival where it received a Special Jury Prize for Ensemble Performance, and was acquired by Gravitas Ventures for distribution. Their second feature "No Future" was an Official Selection of the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival.
