Cara Treacy grew up in Chester County, PA and always had a love of performing. She was comfortable in front of the camera early as a baby model for QVC, where her mother, Jane Treacy, was and still is a program host. As a toddler, she was always acting out songs from the Wizard of Oz in her Dorothy costume (complete with a stuffed animal Toto) and belting out "I Know You" (Once Upon a Dream) from her favorite Disney movie, Sleeping Beauty. At the age of 3, her mom put her in her first ballet class at the Rock School West. She loved to dance her whole life but never imagined that it would become her career path. When she was 16, she left traditional high school to study ballet at The Rock School for Dance Education in Philadelphia. She had the opportunity to perform in Youth American Grand Prix, The Nutcracker, and at the Mann Music Center in Front of 7000 people! After high school, she danced professionally with Ballet San Antonio and Connecticut Ballet and also was a dancer in the Nedgroup Associates Hudson Commercial. At the age of 18, Cara moved to NYC to pursue her ballet career, but instead feel in love with musical theater and on-camera acting. Cara knows that NYC is where she is meant to be and she loves doing what she is doing. Becoming an actress was the best thing to ever happen to Cara and, to quote one of her favorite Broadway tunes, she knows that she is "where and who she wants to be." In her free time, Cara loves catching up on the amazing shows on TV right now, especially her favorites such as The Good Wife and How to Get Away with Murder, baking her famous homemade cupcakes, going to see Broadway shows with friends, and soaking in all that NYC has to offer!
