Olivia Jane Parker has featured in the Australian film Souls (2016). Parker has returned from abroad, back to her hometown, Adelaide, and is presently represented by RMT Management. She made her directorial debut with the Australian Premiere of the psychological thriller Closet Land: The Stage Play, written by Radha Bharadwaj, under the Growling Grin banner. The Shakespearean adaptation of Romeo & Juliet titled A Tender Thing, by Ben Power, was her next venture into directing. Sex Cells by Anna Longaretti at the Bear Pit Theatre (UK) followed. She then starred in Siren Songs, a musical cycle by Maury Yeston entitled December Songs, under the mentorship of Catherine Lambert. Parker has since spent four years abroad, working at the Royal Shakespeare Company, plus attending Masterclass Workshops and appearing in shows such as Lilies on the Land, The Trojan Women (performed at Shakespeare's grave site at Holy Trinity Church) & The Forgotten Army (performed on the RSC's Swan Stage). Parker most recently, directed the Australian Premiere of Tiny Beautiful Things by, Academy-Award Nominated Screenwriter, Nia Vardalos based on the book by best-selling author Cheryl Strayed.
