1949, born in San Rafael del Moján, Zulia state. Betulio Medina Paz, the youngest of twelve brothers. As a child, he joined as a maraquero of the Alma Zuliana group, founded by his father and his brother Moisés. Apart from the maracas, he also plays the harp, the guitar, and the bass guitar. In Santa Rosa de Agua, a palatial town in the northern area of Maracaibo, lives its first years of childhood and adolescence. There are groups of Gaita to participate in cultural activities organized by educational institutions. At the age of 13, he gives life to his first personal project and founds the group Los Inolvidables. Later, along with her older brothers, she participates in the Venezulia group, where she works as a drummer. He had a musical experience that marked him for life together with his brothers with the polyphonic group Alma Zulia, traveling throughout Venezuela and some countries of the continent. In 1968 he joined the Los Cardinales del Éxito, where he made himself known with the musical La Portentosa, and then in Caracas, in 1972, together with Alí Carroz, he organized the group Oro Negro. Very active in the Venezuelan capital and recognized as a tenor, so he studied lyrical singing in the LINO GALLARDO MUSICAL SCHOOL in the decade of the 70's, had the opportunity to be invited to participate in some operas and zarzuelas that were staged in the Theater National. Between its overcoming, it has been awarded by numerous acknowledgments and awards in the standards of the Venezuelan television and musical means of the country, also recognized under municipal orders and government officials native region being involved of the Zuliana tradition and recognizing it for years of work in the industry.
