Mat James

Mat James was born on July 21, 1991, in Dunnville, Ontario, just outside of Niagara Falls. He is the son of Melanie Roloson, an Educational assistant, and Steve James Roloson, whose occupation was in woodworking. Mat is the eldest of 4 siblings, Victoria, Tyler, and Elizabeth. Being a shy and independent child, Mat had no aspirations for acting throughout primary and secondary school and instead planned on attending medical school at Ottawa University. After two years of study, he dropped out and began working full time. It was at this point that he began acting in several independent films throughout Ottawa. As of 2015 Mat was finishing a degree in Geography at Carleton University while continuing to act in Ottawa and the surrounding area.
