Alexander Quitman Volpi, previous resident of Maysville, North Carolina, began acting during his freshman year at White Oak High School in Jacksonville, North Carolina. While there, his original play, The One, was selected for a stage performance at Triad Stage in Greensboro, North Carolina. As a hopeful pursuer in the acting industry, he enrolled at Western Carolina University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Honors College with a BFA Theatre, Concentration in Acting, degree in the spring of 2013. During his time at Western, he was a two-time recipient of the Josefina Niggli Scholarship and one of his costume design concepts was selected for presentation at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research. Alex was able to focus on stage and screen acting throughout college, which is where he took a liking to film. Upon graduation, Alex worked as an all-around intern for The Old Creamery Theare Company in Amana, Iowa, and a National Tour Actor and Director for Missoula Children's Theatre, based out of Missoula, Montana. He lives in Los Angeles where he is a student at iO West, a lifeguard at the Hollywood-Wilshire YMCA, and is in pursuit of film acting.
