Marika Day

Marika Day is an African-American producer and actor, born and raised right here in New Mexico. She works full-time in the film industry; producing, assistant directing and coordinating feature films, advertising campaigns, commercials and short films. With over one hundred projects under her belt, she has not only brought employment to our local communities, but has also kept her heart and mind dedicated to elevating the status of the New Mexico film market to compete with the larger national markets. Marika specializes in pre-production and production dealing with SAG-AFTRA, production contracts and overseeing the complex legalities of content distribution. Marika owns and operates M-Day Films, which she opened in 2015, and she has been the recipient of several local and national awards for the work she has done in the film industry. She is represented by Mitchell & Associates Talent, and continues to work while raising her family in Albuquerque. Her finance and son are also active in the local film industry.
