Timothy James Firtion was born on September 27, 1993 in Belleville, New Jersey. An avid movie buff growing up, he decided to go into filmmaking at the age of 15 when he enrolled in the filmmaking program under Michael Ventresco at Sussex County Technical School in Sparta, New Jersey. In 2011, he completed his first short film, entitled 'Ronald'. The short depicts a troubled teenager who plots vengeance against his brother's killers. The short was selected for the NexTV Entertainment Film and Acting competition in November of 2011. In 2013, he founded the production company, TJ Excursion Cinema. He wrote, produced, shot, edited and directed the crime-drama 'Duo', about a disgraced prizefighter who goes on the run after throwing his final championship match. Firtion based the concept of the film around the Ernest Hemingway short story, "The Killers". Being his first long-form project, he made the film on a budget of $200.00 over the course of two years while attending college. In 2015, he wrote, produced, edited and directed his college these film, 'Unhinged'. As of 2021, he is in production for his crime-drama digital series, 'The Jersey Connection'. Since its release in 2018, the series has received much acclaim on the web festival circuit and has won many industry awards. The series is in development for its second season, in which legendary actor Peter Greene has been cast in a pivotal role.
