"You have to learn to disassociate to an extent and realize that you are playing a character that is not you". Sophie Thatcher began acting and singing in childhood while growing up in Illinois. She debuted in theater and television before gaining critical attention with Prospect (2018). Thatcher's breakout came as teen Natalie in Showtime’s Yellowjackets (2021–), where she portrayed a balance of “wildness and vulnerability,” as described by series creator Bart Nickerson. Her screen presence expanded with roles in The Book of Boba Fett (2022), The Boogeyman (2023), Heretic (2024), and Companion (2025). In 2024, she released her debut EP Pivot & Scrape, revealing a musical side rooted in a family tradition. As executive producer, she supported Provo (2022), directed by her sister Emma. Transitioning between horror, science fiction, and psychological drama, Thatcher has emerged as a versatile performer with a distinctive voice in both film and music.
