Rebekah Martens

Rebekah Martens was born in Bremerton, Washington on April 4, 1990. Her family relocated to Kingsland, Georgia in 1997 when her father was transferred by the U.S. Navy. She was heavily involved in her high school's theater program. Her experiences there led her to study theater at Georgia Southwestern State University. She focused primarily on acting and directing while in college. Some of her favorite projects as an actor include Blithe Spirit, The Crucible, and No Sex, please, we're British. Her favorite projects as a director include The Diviners and Anything Goes! She graduated with a Bachelor of the Arts in theater in 2014. She has one older sister, Monica, and one older brother, Jacob. After graduating college, she traveled to The Autism Treatment Center of America in Sheffield, Massachusetts to take the Start-up Training course in The Son-Rise Program. This program was developed to help those who fall on the Autism Spectrum to gain verbal, social, and personal growth through a play based learning system. She grew to love this program, and hopes to continue her work within it. She finds it to be inspiring, motivating, and heavily influential on her work both as an actor, and as a director.
