Born in Manhattan, raised in the Bronx and Yonkers, NY, Artie Gillman studied acting and performance at The New York Academy of Theatrical Arts, The Weist Baron School of Television, among others. His first professional work was with The Merrimack Valley Theater Company and later Stage One Productions in Manchester, NH under the guidance of George F. Piehl. He went on to perform roles such as Clifford Anderson in "Deathtrap." the Dauphin in "The Lark," Deputy Governor Danforth in "The Crucible," Stephen (Jesus) in "Godspell, Pontious Pilate in Jesus Christ Superstar, and many more. He took a hiatus away from acting to marry and raise his family, but, happily, began performing again in 2007. Monsters of Mulberry Street is his first film role.
