In 2002 she graduated from Grosse Pointe North High and began some college courses for Crime Lab Technician. After a few years off on and off classes in college, working in retail, modeling and rapping. She decided it was time for a change. In 2009 Shiminga moved to Orlando, Fl where she met her fiancee David Meyers. In August 21, 2011 Shiminga gave birth to their first child Vittorie Meyers at the age of 27, then welcomed their second child Tristin Meyers into the world October 21, 2014. Putting family first was important to Shiminga at this time, being a new mom and trying to figure things out was all she wanted to focus on, so she took a break from music and acting to focus on being a mom. Since about 11 years old Shiminga began writing rap lyrics. She always loved writing poems, plays, and stories as a young girl and that later developed into her passion for writing films. After a nice break from the entertainment business, Shiminga sought to rekindle the flame by getting into acting. She began seeking workshops and classes to gain knowledge of the art. In the middle of her endeavors towards becoming an actress, she decided to focus more behind the scenes and production assist. Shiminga wanted to know how things worked on and off the film set, and felt there was no better way to find that out than volunteering on local film sets to gain hands on experience and meet like minded individuals. She began attending networking events and working close with local filmmakers on their projects. She found herself being asked to help produce, write, cast, and direct some local projects in her city. Later she landed her first paid job as an office production assistant for 3 Ball Entertainment. They hired her while producing a reality show for WWE called Breaking Ground. Shiminga gained an extensive amount of production experience while working for the company, and later landed her next job on another reality TV show called Somebody's Gotta Do It, with Mike Rowe. Simultaneously Shiminga began to keep busy with assisting on and off set as well as acting as she had initially dreamed of. She had found herself on both ends of the spectrum and found it to be a great balance for someone who likes to stay busy, continuously learn, and be creative. Shiminga is producing her first Mini Series The Enhanced. She has written thirteen episodes for her first season, and plans to release her pilot to Amazon Prime in the summer of 2018. Shiminga has also been asked to help produce a feature film called Keeping Love Alive, by Edou Alice Augustine. She's helping to produce a live audience podcast for the TJ Chatman show, as well as assist in some upcoming projects as writer or co-writer. Aside from her assistance as writer on other films, she has a long list of titles she plans to complete as well. Her favorite genres for writing are fantasy, science fiction, supernatural, and action. Someday she hopes to be well known in these areas. Overall, Shiminga plans on integrating her series The Enhanced with the local arts community in effort to give back and give other people the chance to gain the hands on experience she was fortunate to get while onset.
