Dennis Harmon Jr. is a multi-talented filmmaker, Director, Producer, Writer, Composer, and Editor. He graduated from Johnson C. Smith University, a HBCU in Charlotte, North Carolina, where Harmon decided to pursue acting classes. Self-taught, learner of screenwriting, and the fundamentals of film-making and directing, Harmon decided to start his own production company, D-Harm Pictures, which specializes in Satire Urban romance comedy films. He has self funded all of his films, and contributed to 90% of the production. He has produced, wrote, and directed short and feature films, such as "Suspect (HBO Award Winning Producer) ," "Love or Lust" (which holds over 5 Million streams), and "This or That (100,000 streams in first month)." Harmon, who is also a musician, has contributed to musical scores and sound designs for short films, such as Julie Bersani's "Wedding Day Booze" and "Binary Stars," films selected into the Cannes Film Festival. When it comes to film-making, Harmon describes his technique as unorthodox, without limits, and allowing for the free creative spirit to be united. His work, he states as being influenced by "Blaxploitation" and the "French New Wave" style of writing and film making that consists of using resources, radical experimenting, and satire, which does not follow the traditional way of film-making. Both of which complements low budget film-making. Harmon continues to be influenced by creatives, such as Keenan Ivory Wayans ,Martin Lawrence, Rudy Ray Moore, Quentin Tarantino, John Singleton, and Eddie Murphy. His visuals of satire have emerged into reinventing the 90's era of Urban American Romance Comedy films. A style similar to that of legendary eras of film, Dennis's impact will leave a mark in the film industry.
