Raa Marchant

Raa was born on the 29th January 1975 in Hounslow. (Near London, England) He comes from a large family of 6 sisters and 2 brothers and he is the youngest. At the age of 4 Raa and his family moved to the Berkshire area which is where he lived until 2016, when he moved to Wales At a young age Raa became addicted to Martial arts films in particular an unknown at that time, Jackie Chan. So he decided to take up martial arts and in his home town there was only one martial arts school that had a name for itself, "The Golden Tiger Kickboxing and Muay thai school". Raa worked his way through the ranks until he reached Instructor levels but felt he spent more time teaching students rather than progressing himself. So he later moved on to try out different styles but felt more comfortable with freestyle as he could mix it up with a variety of styles. He still practices this to this day. Throughout his younger Martial arts training he also would film fight sequences that he choreographed with 2 of his close friends. With this he developed skills in stunt work too and over a few years produced very believable and daring fight scenes which many people would come to see them shot around his hometown. When Raa left school at 16 he went straight into work so put his passion for films aside although returning to film more when time allowed but over time this became difficult once he started a family. The passion for films never disappeared and some years later Raa returned to his passion and started filming again using technology that didn't exist back in his younger days. He now shoots video shorts with his Eldest Son Brennan who like his Dad is working his way up the ranks in Kickboxing. Many of these videos can be seen on YouTube. Raa's videos are noticeable for being fun as they are being produced with the help of his Son so there is a limit on what is currently filmed. In 2010 Raa and Brennan created 'Antisocial Films'. They now produce all their films under this production company. They continue to make short films but have now ventured into feature lengths, starting with the film 6 Days. Raa decided in 2019 to get as many people involved in his films as possible and opened up to having larger crews on board which has never done before.
