Evan Pirone

Evan Pirone is a Melbourne-based writer and director who is best known for his creation of the comedic web series, Food For Thought: Season 1, which gained international success outside Australia. His writing is largely focused in the genres of comedy and drama, marked by recurrent themes of alienation and loneliness. The stories are simple, and the characters, complex, with narratives often possessing surrealistic undertones. Whilst obtaining his screenwriting degree at the Victorian College of the Arts from 2013 - 2015, he interned at some of the most prestigious production houses in the country, having worked for Roadshow Films and Matchbox Pictures. He is launching a video-production company called Lunamik, which will begin operation in early 2016.
