Telling stories that entertain and captivate people, Gustavo has a full understanding of storytelling structure and a facility with the hero's journey. Gustavo Melo grew up in São Paulo, Brazil where he gained an international worldview. Always surrounded by books and art films, he found solace in more mainstream features that served as escapism to his easy, non-challenging life. The duality in taste gave him an equal appreciation for Adam Sandler and Woody Allen, Michael Bay, and Jean-Luc Godard. Gustavo received his bachelor's degree in Film and Media studies at the University of California Santa Barbara and went on to take the master's program for screenwriter's at the University of Southern California. He has worked with the likes of Michael Miner (Robocop) and Mitchell Kriegman (Bear in the Big Blue House) and has lived in São Paulo, Mexico City, London, and Santa Barbara. All of this is evident in the plurality of his voices and the innovative-quality of his plots. Unique in the way he composes his stories he offers art in the form of entertainment that will leave you flipping pages compulsively.
