Mansour Forouzesh is an Independent filmmaker. He has produced and directed 6 Fiction Short Films: Black Silence (7min, 2005), Far From Me Closer To You (8mins., 2009), The Man Who Thought (7 mins., 2011), The Hose (15 mins., 2014), A Few Knots Away (18 mins 2015). He has also produced more than thirty documentary for Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) and twenty commercial teasers for many organizations such as Amirkabir publications, Kharawzmi International Festival and Sina Bank. As jury member he had the task of choosing among the competing films and awarding official prizes, including "26th International Fadjr Film Festival (2009)" and "5th International Malta Short Film Festival (2013)" and several local film and photo festivals. Forouzesh has written a book and contributed to several magazines and websites with a focus on reviewing and analyzing films and books. He has just finished his first book, which will be published in 2015. The book is written over the course of 3 years of research on almost seventy Persian and English sources. The main idea of the book is to investigate the Ideas in Cinema with the eastern and western comparative perspectives on Cinema. Views of people like Imam Mohammad Ghazali, Sadraye Shirazi, versus Bazen, Tarkovski, Pasolini and Hitchcock. He is currently working on a script which is expected to be completed by the end of next year, meanwhile making some fiction short films and a documentary are his priorities in the near future.
