Tanael Joachim is a standup comedian, writer, and actor based in New York City, but born and raised in Haiti. He has a very laid back, smooth, and conversational style on stage. He jokes about race, society's idiosyncrasies, and the inherent contrast between life in Haiti and America. He jokes about dark matters in a very light and joyful way. Some people say his humor is smart and eye-opening; he would probably agree with these people. Tanael was featured on Good Day New York on FOX and Gotham Comedy Live on AXS TV. And he performs at some of the best clubs in New York, including but not limited to: Gotham Comedy Club, The Stand Comedy Club, The Knitting Factory with Hannibal Buress, Broadway Comedy Club, Eastville Comedy Club. He's also been a featured writer for The New York Times, Elite Daily, and The Interrobang. Tanael came to the United States in 2008 to initially go to college and fulfill the immigrant parent's dream. After realizing he didn't speak English as well as he thought, he decided to do something about it, and that's how he came across a lot of new things. Standup comedy is the most important of these. Some people care about wearing a brown belt if they're wearing brown shoes, but TJ really cares about telling jokes in front of strangers. That's just how things are. TJ hopes to tell jokes for a long time and be great at it. Because he really cares about that. That's the life he chose. And he invites you to come along for the journey. He currently resides in Brooklyn.
