Mateo Cabeza was born in Seville in 1986. He has a degree in direction, script writing and film editing from CICE, Madrid and a diploma in documentary film making from DOCMA and MIRADA COMPARTIDA, Madrid. He has also studied with film makers such as Jose Luis Guerín, Victor Erice and Nicolas Philibert. His profound interest in a cinema that talks about real life and ethnography has lead him to conceive works such as Sevilla Santa, Hombre al agua and La vida sigue igual, which have been chosen by various festivals and won awards from L'arternativa, Buenos aires, Los Angeles, Alcances, Asecan and Seville European Film Festival (SEFF) among others. Mateo's first feature length film Nobody Sleep will also be presented in this years edition of SEFF.
