Robert Misovic (born November, 26, 1987) is a Serbo-Croatian Toronto-based film director and screenwriter. As a child, Robert lived in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Nashville, London, Split and Paris before finally moving to Toronto, Ontario at the age of 12. Having lost both parents before the age of 20, and having lived an impoverished life where he got his first job before his thirteenth birthday, Robert has drawn a lot of inspiration from the struggles of his childhood, and attempted to use these struggles to influence his writing. Robert identifies that growing up in such harsh conditions influenced him to mature at an early age. He could always be found watching classic films as a child, and it's greatly inspired his love affair with Film Noir and German expressionism. His biggest inspirations are; Alfred Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick, Federico Fellini, Roman Polankski, David Fincher and François Truffaut. Robert studied statistics and philosophy at the University of Toronto, and graduated in 2011. He's the founder of Pensare Films, an independent film production company founded in 2015. Upcoming projects include short films; Contrition, Juanita, Invisible and Bread Makers, and a feature film, Sins of Omission.
