Austin Jansma is an American actor who grew up all over California. He was born in Tacoma, Washington to parents Ken and Sherri Jansma. He has been in the entertainment industry since 2015. His acting roots were cultivated early by his father, Ken Jansma. Ken saw that when Austin watched movies, he became completely immersed in that world, no matter what movie they watched. Austin acted as if he was one of the characters in that world. Seeing that, Ken brought Austin with him to his acting classes in L.A. during the time they lived in Southern California. Ken always encouraged Austin to become an actor, though Austin would not be seriously interested in acting until fall 2014 after he made a deal with his father. The deal was that Austin had to take an acting class and give it 100%. If he put his all into it and still did not like it, Ken would stop trying to push Austin into an acting career. That fall, Austin took an acting class at Studio 24 in Folsom CA with Cody Dorkin. He fell in love with it and he has not looked back (much to his father's satisfaction). Since then, Austin has played a wide range of characters for film and TV; from an elemental Airbender to a self-righteous druggie. In 2018 he signed with his agent Tabitha Kit with Kit International Talent. Austin pulls inspiration from many actors for each of their individual talents. He looks up to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson for his incredible work ethic and business sense in the industry; Matthew McConaughey for the fact that no matter his role- you believe it was created specifically for him; and the late Robin Williams for his versatility in both comedy and drama. His inspiration has helped him recognize his own value. He had been dealt a tough hand in his early years. In 2007, Austin was involved in a head-on collision while making a delivery for work. He suffered deep lacerations and multiple broken bones and was rushed to the emergency room. He had to learn how to walk all over again. He had to regain his independence and confidence. After surrounding himself with positive people, Austin has learned that one of the darkest times in his life would become the fuel he needed to fire up his greatest passion. He vowed he would "never give up". Austin has worked on projects for both small and large productions. He has met some wonderfully talented people along his journey so far and is always looking forward to meeting more.
