Jamila's talent secured her a global presence as well for her role in the thrilling film Al Daif (2018) that premiered at Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in Estonia and nabbed an Audience Award. Reaping a Best African-Asian Actress Award at the New Vision International Film Festival in the Netherlands for her role in the film, Jamila played the role of a young girl who falls in love with an extremist and she invites him over to introduce him to her parents, unknowingly of his true intention of taking revenge against her father. The award was her first international one, after nabbing many local awards and honors. In 2019, Jamila participated in a panel discussion under the title: "Social Media: The Silent Producer" within the events of Cairo Industry Days, held on the margins of the 41st Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF). The panel's discussion highlighted how social media affected the film industry nowadays. In 2020, Jamila was selected to join as a juror at the Student Film Competition within the 6th Alexandria Short Film Festival. Her latest film, Banat Sanawy, written by Ayman Salama and directed by Mahmoud Kamel, was released in theatres to tremendous success among the audience and the critics in January 2020 and won her Dear Guest Award.
