LaPhonzo James

LaPhonzo James was born in Detroit, MI on August 10th 1980. He always had a passion for entertaining. As a young boy he and his brother would often entertain movie goers by performing Michael Jackson songs or replaying famous scenes from popular movies before the movie would start. As a teenager he fed his hunger to perform by becoming a song leader in his church. Many times LaPhonzo would watch actors on the big screen and television and study those actors and envision himself in those roles. After working in factories and auto plants in Detroit, LaPhonzo was looking for a change in his life. He found a job in the Atlanta, Georgia area, he packed his car and headed down south. When he reached Atlanta, however, the apartment he was scheduled to move into was not ready. Luckily LaPhonzo's friend Krystal had family that lived near by. It was then that LaPhonzo met Michael and Deena Beasley. Talking with Michael brought back the passion and fire he once had for acting. After being mentored and taught the business of acting from, who some call "the king of Hollywood South" Michael Beasley, LaPhonzo set some goals. On his very first audition for a feature film, LaPhonzo landed the part. LaPhonzo has passion, knowledge, desire and believes that between dreams and dreams accomplished, is dedication and consistency.
