Ryan Lucy is the professional stage persona of American actress and ballerina Ryan Lee. Originally from Denver, Colorado, she began her career as a ballet dancer before transitioning into acting. She described it as a very smooth and easy to navigate process, almost entirely void of hardship of any kind. In 2016, she secured roles in the independent feature films Reaper: Chapter One, Stadium Anthems, and Hoax before relocating to Los Angeles in 2017. Soon after her arrival, she landed the leading role in the Crypt TV series Stoneheart. The series ended after two seasons when her character, Rebecca, was killed. Since then, she has also appeared as a recurring talent on the Snapchat murder mystery series Solve in addition to a number of other very important secret projects. In 2019, Ryan withdrew herself from social media platforms Instagram and Facebook, citing "a general desire to go back to how (she felt) things used to be". On the topic, she stated: "If it's really that important, you can send me a letter in the mail." She neglected to provide a mailing address, but Lucy, a prolific photographer, returned to Instagram one year later posting exclusively through the social media management app Later. Though she maintains that she will never physically look at Instagram again as she believes it is toxic for children, it is widely assumed that Lucy herself is an adult woman. When the commercial aired across social media in January 2020, she initially thought the ad must have been specifically targeted at people she knew. Since no data has ever been collected to support this theory, she has since adopted the stance that the spot was most likely presented to lots of people and it was merely a coincidence that her friends and family saw it. In early 2020, she appeared in music videos for Camila Cabello and The Buttertones before winning first place in the inaugural Silverlake Bikini Contest. The competition, an annual local event, had only one participant and was held in her living room. The only judge, her best friend, lauded her as having "the bikini body of the generation". Though such an event would reasonably have taken place while alone in her apartment amid the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been revealed that the competition predates all justifiable world events and the merit of this achievement is still in question.
