Katy L. Votapka is an American actress, dancer, and model born in Sebastian, Florida in 1984. She began her career at a young age performing in ballet productions such as The Nutcracker and Coppelia. She fell in love with acting when she landed the role as Liesl in Sound of Music and was cast as the lead in South Pacific as Nellie Forbush. After studying dance at the North Carolina School of the Arts (1996), the Virginia School of the Arts (1997), and the Miami City Ballet (2001). She moved to New York City in 2004 to pursue a career in acting where she attended The American Musical and Dramatic Academy, graduating from the Integrated Musical Theatre Program (2006). Afterwards, she performed with various dance companies in New York City including the Coopdanza Ballet,Bula dance company, and Le Grand Continental. Katy returned to Florida in Oct 2012, where she took up residence in Orlando, performing with the Central Florida theater troupe, "Phantasmagoria". Katy starred in the musical "Chicago" (2014) as Katalin Hunyak. In Mar 2015, she was cast as Dana in the short film, "Breakfast In Bed", where it won the Trailblazer Award in the Melbourne Independent Film Festival. In 2016, she starred in the independent movie "The Witness Protection Plan", a role she prepared for by studying martial arts choreography.
