J. Kerry (Jessie Kerry) is the Founder of the 2010 opened GenFilms Productions China. She's been involved in the domestic and international business sector between China and overseas since 2005 and served on various multilingual short, feature and commercial productions as a screenwriter, director, talent manager and producer. Her cultural, creative and academic experience, and the expertise in the Chinese and international film industry, have brought her high resonance under international clients. As a former professional actress, model, dancer, Black Belt Martial Artist and 2x Gold Medal World Champion in Okinawan Kobudo, Kerry brings unique background features into every motion picture film production. She trained Shaolin Kung Fu, Kenpo, Jiu Jitsu, Tai Chi and Yoga since the age of 7 and helped her parents run a local martial arts school where she was just 13 years old when she started giving classes to kids, teens and adults. Through her creative work as a director and producer she developed unique skills as a graphic designer, VFX editor and photographer. Her multi-language capabilities reach from English, German, French, Chinese, Spanish, Italian to Polish. She holds a Dual Master in Business and Cinema Production & Directing and an additional diploma as a Screenwriter. Kerry studied Chinese Wushu & TaiChi at the Beijing Capital University of Physical Education, Chinese Literature and Language at Chengdu University and the Beijing International Studies University. Since 2012 she's an official patron of the annual International Gay/Lesbian Teddy Awards of the Berlin International Film Festival. She's won the 2017 'Canada Golden Maple Film Award' for the Best Original Screenplay (Silver) with "Qi : Spacetime Warriors". In 2019 Kerry made her debut as a novelist with the first book of "The Chronicles of Qi" trilogy and has since released additional booklets connected to the series.
