Angela Zoé

Angela Zoé works as director and executive producer at her production company Documenta Filmes. She has directed the features Nossas Histórias and Duas Histórias, which won the Best Screenplay award at RECINE. Her films were also screened at Festival do Rio and in New York, Munich, Foz do Iguaçu, Brasília and Cuba (2014). They were also shown in Sevilla and Montpellier (2015). As a campaign director, she created and directed a series on education for Unesco, and a films about Violence against Women for UNAIDS. In 2015, Angela produced the documentary Betinho - Hope on the Line, whose plot was written by her, that won the Redentor Award for Best Documentary (Popular Vote) at Festival do Rio; and directed and wrote the feature documentary Meu Nome é Jacque.
