Kayla Smolenaers

Kayla Smolenaers is an Australian actress who is known from the film- The Last Hope. She was born in Melbourne, Victoria on 3rd June 1999, she's the daughter of Alexandra Smolenaers (the father is out of the picture). She has 4 siblings- two half brothers, a half sister and a younger twin sister. Smolenaers never really grew up with her biological family. At the age of 4 her and her twin sister- Billie Smolenaers were brought up by their Aunty and uncle. Smolenaers first started her education at Avoca Primary School in Victoria. In (2006) when she was in the first grade, she landed a role in a television commercial for a pizza shop- heavenly pizza. From the ages 5-9 she was involved in school concerts, which she loved to be apart of. When she turned 10 she changed schools, and went to a catholic school- St.Augustines Primary School in Maryborough. She stayed at that school from years 4-6. In (2011) when she was in grade 6 she took part in a production- Guys and Dolls. She had scored a minor roles a hotbox farmarette. After she graduated from St. Augustines, her and her family moved to Tasmania, which is where she started her first year of high school at St. Mary's District high school. It was only 1 year spent there. At the end of the year her family moved more to the coast of Tasmania, which is here they found Ulverstone. She attended a school there named Leighland Christian School. She took part in that school from year 8 up until the middle of year 10, which was when Smolenaers decided to move back with her mum up in Victoria. Smolenaers began to attend at a school called P-12 Comunity College in Ballarat. A few months after moving back to Victoria, her twin sister decided to come back to. In (2015) Smolenaers got a role in the up-coming film- The Last Hope, which is where she played the role of a wounded girl that got attacked by a zombie, then later turned in a zombie. This year (2016) she also got the opportunity to be in a music video -In a Twist. Right now Smolenaers is currently a year 11 VCE student, just following her dreams, and making the most of everyday.
