Since she was a little girl, she always seemed to be attracted by the entertainment industry and started participating in theater plays (at school and in different communities). She understood acting was life to her and all she wanted to do for the rest of her life and finally kept pursuing her career as a professional actress. She has been doing Theater for 29 years and had worked in Hollywood movies, TV Series Pilots for many Productions Companies, such as: ABC, NBC Telemundo, HBO, Delta Blues, Nightfall Productions, 22 Jump Street, Miami, The Course Of The Fuentes Women, Mad Dogs, Start Up, Driven, The Last Thing He Wanted, The Baker And The Beauty, etc... Due to very few opportunities in her puertorican environment, Kathryn Aidyl decided to become an Independent Filmmaker, producing her own films and working with other colleagues to make a "re-birth" of the local film industry. That's when her first role as the protagonist of a short film, El Martirio de Eva (2016), brought her the opportunity to start being noticeable in the puertorican film industry and later on she was awarded as the Best Actress of the Rincón International Film Festival (April 2nd, 2017), for her performance in El Martirio de Eva. Everything started to changed for the best, until Hurricanes Irma and María hit the island (everything was canceled due to the national emergency). But that didn't stop her and that's when she started to write and develop her own stories and short films, being Desvío (2018) one of them. This last short film has been an official selection of re-known film festivals, such as: New York Latino Film Festival, Anatomy Crime-Horror International Film Festival (in Athenas, Greece) and LUSCA Fantastic Film Festival (winning Best Cinematography and the 1st. Place in the Screenwriting Contest).
