Jett Salazar is a Mexican- American actor, born Jose Luis Salazar on March 1, 1992 in San Antonio, Texas to a cosmetologist mother and welder father. Growing up, he was always involved in school productions and community theater, but it was Marlon Brando's Stanley Kowalski in A Streetcar Named Desire that made him realize his passion lied in film acting. In the fall of 2011, Jett moved to New York City to attend the 2 year program at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, where he also completed an additional year as a member of their Academy Company. After completing his studies, Jett went on to star in an Off Broadway production of "La Trilogia de Juan Rulfo", directed by German Jaramillo. He also starred and co-produced Crocodile Boy, a short film which made festival rounds and went on to win the Golden Palm Award at the Mexico International Film Festival in 2017. The following year, Jett made his television debut as Joseph Rivera on CBS' "Blue Bloods". In 2022, he shot his first feature film, "Memory", directed by Michel Franco and acting alongside Jessica Chastain. With this and more to come, he plans to take the film industry by storm.
