Marcus Starr

Attracted to film making and acting again once his young family had flown the nest, Spotlight member Marcus (Formerly performed as Mark Starr) soon fell back in love with the medium and set about exploring opportunities. Taking on supporting acting roles to regain his skills and confidence while on set, soon he was applying for roles closer to the lens. Encouraged and advised to delve further by film makers, Marcus has taken on some challenging and emotional roles, exploring the character of each role, often bringing to the surface, dark and sinister sides. Seeking out the relationships with other characters in a production and using the findings to enhance performance. A life as a British Sign Language Interpreter has helped Mark to be able to convey emotion to camera using the beautiful non verbal techniques found in Sign Languages. Marcus is a very good character actor who continually gives a strong performance
