Roxsanne Mathena

Roxanne Mathena aka Foxy Roxy was trained by Handsome Jimmy Valiant in 1995. She is the first openly transgender wrestler in pro wrestling having her first match in 1998. Many credit Mariah Moreno with this however her first match was in 2009. Roxanne formed The Transgender Nation faction in 2014 with then promoter Christopher Annino. The pro wrestling group debuted in New London Connecticut part of a Out Ct event. The Transgender Nation consisted of Foxy Roxy, Nyla Rose, and The Whip Mistress aka Paola Jazmin. She has won numerous awards such as the Universal Tag Team Championship, The Universal TV Title, and the AIWF Mid Atlantic Tag Team Championship. Roxy was also the first transgender employee for a major pro wrestling promotion TNA pro wrestling. She later was part of the ring crew of AEW.
