Mackenzie Lawrén Johnson, known as Kenz Lawrén, was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona by her mother Kim Johnson and Travis Johnson; owners of Storyteller Productions. Lawrén's experience as an artist started at age three when she trained in ballet and tap at Betty Johnson School of Dance. She continued to dance and soon transferred to what is now called Bender Performing Arts (BPA). Lawrén first went to high school at Pinnacle in Scottsdale where she joined drama and theatre production classes and the varsity track team; in which she lettered in and won many awards in the various races she competed in. She later began guitar and vocal training classes at Desert Ridge Music Academy, all while continuing her dance training at BPA and competing on the All Stars Dance Team for BPA. At age 16, Lawrén transferred to Paradise Valley High School when she was accepted onto the Elite Dance Team. By the time of graduation she had completed 15 total years of dance training in jazz, tap, ballet, hip-hop, lyrical, contemporary, tumbling and gymnastics. Lawrén was granted her diploma early to further her education in college at only 17 years old. She soon enrolled at Paradise Valley College where she studied journalism. Although she was promoted to Fashion Editor for the Northeast Valley News, it wasn't long before she decided her passion remained in the arts. After six semesters of college, she made the spontaneous move to Los Angeles, California to pursue her dream as a model and actress. Lawrén has studied at Playhouse West, with acting coach Warner Loughlin and Howard Fine. She booked her first role as the lead, Ariel Gibson in feature film "Guitars and Guns" and is now most known for her role as Faith Seed in Far Cry 5's recently released film, "Inside Eden's Gate".
