Eric James Morris is an entertainment professional who has spent a large part of his life expressing his love of the arts through music, acting in film and television, and hosting educational videos that focus primarily on building construction related topics. Eric is also an entrepreneur, and is always looking at different opportunities outside of the entertainment industry where he can involve himself and create success within those endeavors. Eric is an Atlanta native. He was born and raised in Atlanta GA. He loves this city very much and has watched it grow dramatically in the past 15 years. Being an Atlanta native, he is also one of the few entertainment professionals that hold the honor of being from Atlanta within the growing Atlanta entertainment industry. Eric loves being a part of it all, right here in his home town. Eric James Morris is down to earth, friendly, caring, and a charismatic individual. He has been very blessed to be surrounded with the people that care about him, and the love for his family is what matters the most to Eric. His wife of 22 years has supported all of Eric's endeavors over the years. Eric believes she probably had her doubts about him and his crazy ventures a few times along the way, as his entrepreneur ideas were not all successes however he always learned from them. She has always stayed by Eric's side, as she has always believed in him even when Eric himself had his own doubts. Eric is also a father to two sons. He is very proud of his boys, as they have grown to be very influential young men and have made excellent choices with their decisions upon where they want to further their success and careers. Eric made it his priority when they were little to instill a good work ethic in them and teach them how to be strong dependable men. He believes it is very important to always "do what you say your going to do" and has passed that mentality along to his boys. "Don't be a job receiver, be a job creator" was one of his many inspirational quotes he would tell his sons. Eric James Morris began his journey in entertainment when he was a kid in high school. Eric is a musician and has played guitar for many years. When he was a teenager, he was a highly sought-after player due to his ability to play heavy/punk rock style riffs and solos. He was involved in the late 80's/90's punk and rock culture, and was a member of a heavy/punk band for a while. Eric always had a great time jamming with his buddies. Later in life Eric also became a singer and discovered his roots of classic rock and country music. Eric began playing many live venues around Atlanta, and really enjoyed making people feel something from his performance. His grandfather and father were both musicians, and they both played guitar as well as sang. His grandfather was from Nashville TN, and he played with many of the country gold legendary classics as they would often have "barn jams" and you would never know who would show up. He claimed he once played with Hank Williams at one of these jams, and Eric prefers to believe it to be true. His grandfather would also play at the Ernest Tubb midnight jamboree radio program often with many legends. Like Eric, his grandfather was also an entrepreneur however he specialized in concrete and masonry construction. His grandfather installed much of the concrete at Johnny Cash's old house on the river, that unfortunately caught on fire not too long afterwards. A funny story his grandfather once told Eric was that the estimate his grandfather wrote to Mr. Cash was too low. Mr. Cash told Eric's grandfather to write the estimate again as it wasn't high enough. So he did, and Mr. Cash gave him the project. This story says a lot about the type of character that Johnny Cash had, and is a big reason why Johnny Cash is one of Eric's favorite of all time artist. Later in life Eric discovered acting and has never looked back. He has found what he really loves to do. Once again, like music, he is able to give the audience something and make them feel through his performance. Eric has had the pleasure to work with many great local film professionals and other talented individuals in the south east. Eric always brings his best to set and helps to build the team mentality on set as "Everyone and their part of the project is so important to making a project a successful one." says Eric. Eric is also very helpful to other newer actors who are looking to get started in the industry, or other experienced actors who commonly ask about Atlanta as they are thinking of relocating to the area to pursue more opportunities. Eric enjoys making other people smile and tries to make at least one person have a better day in some small way, every day.
